Tips for Straightening "Ethnic"/African American Hair

Feeling slightly worried..

My day went by pretty slow. After my meeting, I came home and started on my eggrolls that I am making tomorow (theres something to look forward to) and I spent time talking with my parents and my older sister came by and It was nice hanging with everyone. Of course I never go anywhere without my phone, so the whole time im back in forth in my email and checking twitter on my phone, and I see that SOME of the Fiesta Movement agents would be called today.


I was thinking if I were going to be picked, I would be called today ( I put my video and application in on Monday the 16th and turned in my background check RIGHT AWAY..plus my background is clean)


I was also seeing a lot of people who applied AFTER I did, who got chosen.. Plus a good amount of Cali people already got picked so, I dont really know if there's room for me. That would really suck. I mean I (and everyone else) WANT this, but I NEED it more than anyone else, and I could put a lot of time into it.. So I will try to sleep tonight, and if I am not called tomorow I guess I will stop sitting by the phone and try to stop thinking about it. Which is hard to do. I keep telling myself "wait and see" but the more I tell myself wait, they'll call you...the more let down I will be in the end if I really am not picked. Tick Tock..I Guess Tomorow will tell. Hope I wont end up driving my old overheating moldy car until I save up enough for a decent used car!

Here are some pictures of a 1946 Plymouth Deluxe Club Coupe. The car belongs to my Dad's friend, he had been saying he would bring it over for us to see for a while..But everytime he came, he was in his truck.. But today I finally got to see it! Some of my neighbors came out to look too. Its really bright and with the sun and the car I almost lost my vision today :P






By the way thats my Dad in the sweet cowboy hat..LOL (you can't really see him..my neighbor is in the way)

In other news thousands sit on the edge of their seats as they wait to see who the Ford Fiesta Agents will be.. I'm so far on the edge of my seat and going crazy with curiosity..

A little bit confused (thanks to reading stuff on Twitter) I dont know if we are suppose to get a call AND an Email, or just an email by next week. So, we shall wait and see..

I am also debating on if I should copy my wieght loss blog over to this site from my MySpace.. Hmm..

I did a lot of cleaning today..And more thoughts about the Fiesta Movement

This is my baby :)

I was trying to keep myself busy and keep my mind occupied today.. Too much free time.. One thing I should have done today was take my daily walk! I usually do it around 11 or 12 noon but it was too hot around then! So tomorow I am going to go EARLY! Well.. not like 7 am.. Maybe around 9ish!!


Ok this blog is going to kind of jump all over the place but I would like to talk about something else that is on my mind a lot this month. Yeah, you guessed it! The Fiesta Movement. I know this would be good for me AND I would meet and exceed the expectations that Ford sets. I could make a great story about all kinds of things and attract an audience for this SPECIFIC purpose. Waiting is no fun! LOL


Well while I am talking about this movement, I can say that I have a few things that would enable me to participate. First of all, there are many computers in the household, including my awesome Pink Dell Inspiron :) I got it as a B-day gift about 3 years ago! I had always wanted a laptop, but to get a PINK one! That was great.. Any who, it came with some neat stuff on it like the Windows Movie Maker. This came in handy soo many times once I started using it. Its great for being something that just comes standard! Lots of options and editing stuff.


Then I have my handy dandy.. Sony Cybershot Camera. I got this as a gift like 8 months ago and I have been using it faithfully. It is tiny and fits in my purse or in a coat pocket. It takes GREAT pictures and shoots decent videos too! It has so many different settings, I decided to go through the manual again to get a better grip on what settings to use for each situation/loaction (ie: beach, snow, night, etc)


Then theres my phone. I use to faithfully use my pink Moto Razr..Until I got my hands on the SideKick 08 (aka Sidekick Gecko) when it came out. I chose it over the other 'Kicks not only because it was the newest, BUT because it was the smallest. To me a tiny size difference means a lot! Its easy to put in a back pocket when you dont want to take your purse (or if you dont carry a purse..Guys..LOL) My Sidekick keeps me CONNECTED to the internet all day everyday. I can do more than talk on it! I have unlimited Text, unlimited Instant Messaging, AND unlimited Web Browsing! Pretty good web browsing at that! It shows full content on most pages (But some pages I still prefer the mobile version like m.myspace.com and m.twitter.com !)

So I am always connected!

Fiesta Movement and My Thoughts today..

Today was a good day. I got to work out and walk the dog. She seemed to enjoy it :) I always feel a lot happier when I get out in the sun.. And there was plenty of sun today with a little wind..So relaxing!

Any way, the thing on my mind the most these days is the Fiesta Movement. I saw a video posted last night/today on YouTube showing the 100 movement cars being made. That gets my blood pumping. They're super cute, tough, sleek, and stylish. I guess to sum it up this car is

SHEIK

It would be so cool if I got picked. I mean not just because of the car's looks and name..But Seriously, my car is on its last leg... No! not even its last leg... Its on its last TOE! I mean I have had it for like 5 or 6 years now, it was great in high school and it got me from A to Z, but now it barely gets past A!

There's so much wrong with it, the guys at the repair shop (Pep Boys) told me its not worth fixing ($2000?!?! I didn't even pay that much when I first got it back in 2003!)

It's over heating.. and fixing just the radiator wont help because there's a leak some where in the engine and a blown head gasket...Yeah right..What ever that is.

Not to mention its loud (I kind of enjoy that sometimes) but most importantly its growing mold..Yuck. I tried cleaning it, but every cold/rainy season it comes back and now its like taking over..I never could use the trunk because of that

Now I am afraid to even sit in the car because its all in the front passenger side under the floor mat..dude. I so don't want brain damage from breathing this..LOL

Saving up for a new car is hard, especially when your current car can barely get you to work any more..

So if they picked me not only would I do missions for them (and enjoy it!) because of all my free time but I could get my life back on track and get a real job so I can get a used car when its all over..

But it seems like this movement is going to go off of mainly how many people watch your video(s) and how many people you added randomly on your pages (MySpace, Twitter, Facebook) if I would have known that denying friend requests was going to come back later to bite me in the (insert word here) I would have accepted EVERYONE.

I don't think its fair to go off of people with lots of YouTube friends/subscribers though.. I mean think about it.. Unless you're talking about CARS, and they subscribe to you for CARS then that makes sense..other than that its kinda like taking a fan of Britney Spears and trying to make them listen to Lil Wayne.. Total opposites.

All I can do is sit and wait and hope! But who knows..I think the first 14 spots will go to the 14 "Favorites" videos that Ford had on the FiestaMovement website. So that would leave 86 spots.. But we will see..

I also saw only 400-600 videos for the movement BUT I read some where (don't know if its true) that they're taking apps with no videos too! AND there were about 1500!! How will they take pics and videos and blog if they cant even make a video to enter this movement?????

I must admit, I saw about 10 videos that were super awesome (Not counting my own of course)

I actually liked 95% of the videos though. But I wonder if Ford/recruiters will be "Hard Asses" and eliminate people for the lack of ability to follow directions or remain "secretive"

If so, that knocks off a good handful of videos for not being 2-5 minutes long

*SIMPLEST INSTRUCTION IN THE WORLD!*

And another handful for not including the tag "fiestamovement" on the video..

*Again, Another simple instruction!"

Plus the few people who are bragging that they made it to the second round and got a call for an interview..

*I mean if you cant keep something like that a secret...then...how will you keep other things a secret?*

Hmm...Maybe I am just hoping, because that means less competition. LOL! But I do wish EVERYONE who entered: GOOD LUCK!

I must be patient, pray, and just try to get on with my life..

But this is still in the back of my mind.. and probably will be for the next couple of weeks..

Fiesta Movement

I am amped about this movement..But With all of the video uploaded this week AND all of the videos uploaded today (The last day to enter) I dont know what my chances are of being chosen.. I mean I was never one to add everyone who sends me a friend request, although I spend more than 5 hours a day online..

The want you to have a strong presence on the web, BUT..Say for example you have a channel on YouTube with a COMEDY show..and you have 10,000 subscribers or friends.

Think about it. They are subscribed to you for COMEDY..Not cars. I mean sure they will se your video for the car but I mean thats not what your channel is for. Me on the other hand, I have a YouTube account with just a few random videos..I never made a comedy show or regular posts..but if it were my duty to do so, I would have no problem recruiting people for this SPECIFIC INTREST...

So I really hope I did well enough to be picked...

Not to mention I have soo much free time to do missions and edit videos and add people..

My first post here..
